All-candidate debate season begins in Oshawa
Just three weeks remain until the municipal elections, and as voters strive to select their best candidate for their local council, the races are heating up. The arguments are going from the planning stage to the implementation stage.

The first two debates of the week in Oshawa are an all-candidates discussion for Ward 4 tonight and a mayoral debate tomorrow.

The Ward 4 discussion will take place tonight from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Biltmore Theatre and will feature all three regional councillor aspirants and all five local councillor candidates. The public is welcome to attend the discussion, which the Downtown Oshawa Business Alliance is hosting.

Candidates for regional councillors include Doug Sanders, Rick Kerr (Inc.), and Jeff Davis. James Bountrogiannis, Fred Eismont, Derek Giberson (Inc), Mark Logan, and Dave Thompson are candidates for the city council.

Rogers TV will broadcast the Oshawa mayoral debate live at https://www.rogerstv.com/home?lid=14&rid=2. Tuesday morning from 8 to 10 a.m.

Joe Ingino and Sara Lear will join incumbent Dan Carter in the race. The Greater Oshawa Chamber of Commerce's president, Peter Bocking, will chair the discussion.
